The Specialty Drinks Will Be Available Through the End of the Year
Going to see movies in Los Angeles is always a little more special than visiting your typical multiplex. This fall, ArcLight Cinemas is making the movie-going experience even more unforgettable for Angelenos by offering a pop-up cocktail menu service helmed by leading bartenders from some of the city’s best bars. The aptly named Lights, Camera, Cocktails series (which costs $40 per person) promises a fun outing for any film buff 21 over 21. The evenings will pair screenings of classic films with three themed cocktails. Each of the drinks will be prepared by a separate bar in the Los Angeles area. Master mixologists from Bar Clacson, Bibo Ergo Sum, Accomplice, Melrose Umbrella Co., Pikoh, and Harvard and Stone will be be participating in the series.
At each show, the event check-in and pre-screening cocktail service starts at 6:30 p.m., while the film starts playing at 7 p.m. A second cocktail (and complimentary popcorn) will be offered during the movie. Afterwards, guests can enjoy a third cocktail as they participate in a post-movie discussion with fellow moviegoers.
This month’s movies include Christopher Nolan’s instant classic Inception (which will be shown at the ArcLight Culver City on October 17) and Kill Bill, Volume 1 (which will screen at the ArcLight Santa Monica on October 24). In November, movie buffs can head to the Culver City location to watch Scarface on November 14 or opt for a showing of The Blues Brothers in Santa Monica on November 28. The festivities will continue through the holiday season, giving film lovers the opportunity to head to Culver City to see Pulp Fiction on December 5 or Santa Monica for an Amelie screening on December 12.
Tickets will be available both in person and online in advance. The pop-up service will be available through the end of the year. The hardest part will probably be deciding which movie you want to see—but there’s really no way you can no wrong with this stellar lineup.
