From Trolley Tours to Cookie Decorating, Explore Four Ways to Get Into the Holiday Spirit
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Beverly Hills (minus the snow, of course). From lights strung across the palm trees on Rodeo Drive to storefronts decked out with holiday gifts, Beverly Hills knows how to get into the spirit of the season. If you’re looking for the best holiday events to participate in Beverly Hills this year, we’ve got you covered.
Joy to the Holidays at Greystone Mansion
Nothing says holiday cheer like decorating cookies and visiting Santa. Just in time for the holidays, the historic Greystone Mansion (also known as the Doheny Mansion) will play host to family-friendly activities on December 7th and 8th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Participants can access the event by parking at the Civic Center and taking a shuttle up the hill to the mansion. Once there, they can enjoy holiday music, crafts, and cookie decorating against the backdrop of the 1928 Tudor Revival mansion and formal English gardens. Make sure to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the local toy drive.
A Christmas Carol at the Wallis
Relive Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic by watching a live dramatic performance at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Taking place on December 4th through 8th, the play will introduce adults and children alike to the timeless tale of the mean-spirited Ebenezer Scrooge, who is haunted by four ghosts who ultimately teach him how to be a kinder and gentler person. Afterward, sip on mugs of hot chocolate at the coffee shop of your choice as you talk about the performance and discuss the real meaning of Christmas.
Santa and Mrs. Claus at Montage Beverly Hills
If you have kids, take them by Montage Beverly Hills on December 21st from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. for a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. After hearing stories read by Mrs. Claus, children are invited to take a one-on-one holiday picture with Santa. In lieu of an admission fee, guests are invited to bring an unwrapped toy per child to be donated to a charity. The event is open to kids ages 5 through 8, and parents must in attendance.
Jolly Trolley with Mrs. Claus
Looking for the perfect way to see the Christmas lights in Beverly Hills? Bundle up and head over to 280 North Rodeo Drive on December 13th and 14th or December 20th and 21st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to participate in a complimentary scenic trolley tour of the local lights. Hosted by none other than Mrs. Claus herself, this fun-filled evening is best enjoyed with friends. (We recommend packing some hot chocolate in a thermos to keep you warm all evening long).
