Beverly Hills Luxury Real Estate

Beverly Hills is known for its glamorous zip code. Living in 90210 is synonymous with affluence and luxury. Over the years, more people have started flocking to the suburb to escape the busy city life and find secluded grand homes on manicured lawns with access to some of the world's finest shopping and dining.

Of course, at the heart of Beverly Hills is the renowned Rodeo Drive, one of the area's primary attractions. It's a charming place to live, work, and play because there is always something to do, a new restaurant to visit, or stunning sights to see.

Today, Beverly Hills is home to some of the most elite residents in the world, including entrepreneurs, actors, actresses, CEOs, and more. Many of the houses are massive estates and picturesque cottages designed in Spanish Colonial and Traditional styles.

Beyond the obvious, Beverly Hills also has a tight-knit vibe. Even though it often feels like a big city, this glitzy suburb only has a modest population. Even the star-studded neighborhoods––filled with people like Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, Sandra Bullock, Taylor Swift, and more––are also equally full of young families and professionals.

What's great is that there are a variety of diverse neighborhoods to fit different lifestyles. Those who want to live somewhere more lowkey might prefer the southern area near downtown, which is known for being walkable and home to flourishing, tree-lined streets, while the north side is home to contemporary mansions, chateaus, and famous landmarks.

Lifestyle in Beverly Hills

Despite its grandeur and overt sense of luxury, Beverly Hills is actually a relatively small Los Angeles suburb fostering a close-knit community. The lifestyle might be affluent and glamorous, but otherwise, Beverly Hills has many of the classic small-town hallmarks we've become accustomed to, like lifelong friendships, deep familial roots within the area, and a sense of unity.

Beverly Hills is divided into north and south sections colloquially known as "north of the tracks" (north of Santa Monica up to Mulholland Drive) and "south of the tracks" (downtown and nearby residential neighborhoods).

Throughout the city, you'll find impressive estates and imposing homes dripping with luxury. Most people who live in this town can afford luxurious amenities and the privacy that comes with owning a stately manor and spacious manicured lots. When it comes to architecture, there are five quintessential styles you're likely to see throughout the city and SoCal in general, including Traditional, Spanish Colonial, Contemporary, Period Revival, and Rural European. Living in Beverly Hills means you'll frequently be rubbing elbows with celebrities, high-powered CEOs, influencers, and entertainers. This exclusive suburb is known for its hidden enclaves and posh environment, especially since it is anchored by one of the most famous streets in the world: Rodeo Drive. Still, Beverly Hills is a dynamic, vibrant city where things are always happening, and it is home to some diverse and fascinating communities.

Beverly Hills Shopping

As one of the country's most exclusive zip codes, it should come as no surprise that Beverly Hills boasts some of the best shopping in the world, home to unique boutiques, global luxury brands, high-end shops, sophisticated art galleries, and much more.

The most notable and acclaimed stretch of shops is contained between Little Santa Monica Boulevard and Wilshire Boulevard. Here resides one of the most famous three-block roads in the world, Rodeo Drive. A shoppers' paradise designed to satisfy the most luxurious clientele, Rodeo Drive is the epitome of style and glamor. From Fendi and Gucci to Louis Vuitton and Prada, just about any luxury brand you can imagine is located here alongside world-class restaurants and fashion houses.

The entire compact area is known as the Golden Triangle and is considered the city's crown jewel. On the east side of Rodeo Drive are even more unique stores, while industry giants like Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman-Marcus sit on the triangle's southern border.

Within Rodeo Drive, you'll also find the quaint, charming, cobblestone-lined streets of Two Rodeo Drive, an imminently walkable area containing Tiffany & Co., Jimmy Choo, Versace, and several chic open-air cafés. Dine al fresco while appreciating the beautiful sports cars parked on almost every curb.

Those on a budget might still appreciate visiting Rodeo Drive for luxe window shopping or even listening to carolers during the holiday season. Visitors and locals enjoy visiting the Walk of Style, which is the fashion world's version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This famed street is immediately recognizable by the iconic "Torso" sculpture by artist Robert Graham. Art enthusiasts will appreciate seeing the many world-class art collections housed in fine art galleries like Galerie Michael and Mouche Gallery

While you're spending your day touring Rodeo Drive, stop by Anderton Court Shops, a three-story shopping complex designed by Frank Lloyd Wright himself. It's the only shopping mall he ever designed and one of his last projects ever created.

Best Restaurants in Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills' amazing shopping scene is rivaled only by its world-class culinary options ranging from fine-dining establishments to relaxed, open-air cafés.

Founded by Michelin star chef Joshua Gil and Matthew Egan, MÍRAME is a relatively new contemporary restaurant that fuses authentic Mexican food with classic California vibes. Spago is the flagship restaurant of Wolfgang Puck's Fine Dining Group. This iconic Michelin-starred spot on Canon Drive is known for its decadent dishes and seasonally changing menu, always constructed around what is fresh and available locally.

A Los Angeles staple since 1938, Lawry's is a luxurious and refined steakhouse ideal for large parties or celebratory dinners. While the entire menu is full of award-winning meats and dishes, Lawry's is famous for its prime rib, carved right at your table and carried out on silver carts. The meat is so tender it falls right off the bone.

Speaking of steakhouses, Carlitos Gardel Restaurant is one of many, but what sets Carlitos apart is its quiet, stylish atmosphere and Argentinean cuisine. Along with their prime cuts of grass-fed beef, Carlitos has an extensive wine list.

For something more casual yet equally delicious, Nate ‘n Al's is a landmark Jewish deli with origins that harken back to the early 1940s. Over the years, this quintessential deli has evolved into a popular location for locals and even the occasional celebrity. They're known for serving the best corned beef, pastrami, matzo ball soup, cheese blintzes, and smoked fish in the area. Croft Alley specializes in serving balanced, simple meals with traditional California flair.

Somewhere between the relaxed-yet-chic bistros and elegant fine dining locales are places like The Grill on the Alley, an institution based on the legendary grills from the '30s and '40s. Perfect for a business lunch or date night, The Grill on the Alley offers a diverse menu consisting primarily of steak and seafood. Stop by during happy hour for a delicious meal on a budget!

If Japanese cuisine is what you're after, there is no better location than Tempura Endo, a sleek, Kyoto-style eatery known for their omakase menu and tempura (which comes with the restaurant's delicious secret-sauce!).

An expansive linear park running along Santa Monica Boulevard, Beverly Gardens Park is a popular place for visitors and locals alike, thanks to the famous Beverly Hills Sign and Lily Pond. The park also includes several specialty gardens like the Rose Garden and the Cactus Garden and incredible works of art like the Endless V by Jaume Plensa.

It's worthwhile to take a scenic drive along this legendary stretch to soak in the sights and maybe even spot a celebrity or two.

During the summer months, there is no better way to spend an evening beneath the stars than by attending one of the many outdoor concerts provided by the city. Concerts on Canon is an annual series held at the Beverly Cañon Gardens, where you can view a range of musical performances from classic rock-and-roll to samba.

The holiday season is a magical time in Beverly Hills. Every year from November to January, the city transforms into an enchanting winter wonderland.
