Discover Your New Favorite Movie at One (or more!) of These Exciting Events

Los Angeles is the global epicenter of the film industry, so it’s no surprise that there are dozens of film festivals held in the city every year. But you don’t have to go all the way to Hollywood to watch screenings and premieres of top films. Each year, Beverly Hills plays host to several notable film festivals that cinephiles will want to mark their calendars for. Here are three of our favorite options:

Beverly Hills Film Festival

Founded in 2001 by independent filmmaker Nino Simone, the Beverly Hills Film Festival invites emerging and established moviemakers from around the globe to submit their best works. Submissions are currently open for the 20th annual event, which will include red carpet premieres, screenings, publicity events, educational panels, seminars, and workshops. More than 44,000 attendees from around the globe will head to the 90210 for this highly-anticipated event, which takes place on April 1st through 5th. Additional information about submissions and tickets are available on their website.

The Method Fest Independent Film Festival

Drawing inspiration from the “Stanislavski Method,” which focuses on realism in acting, The Method Fest Independent Film Festival is the only major film festival in the United States that primarily focuses on actors. Breakout film performances of up-and-coming stars and established actors alike will be celebrated during this weeklong event, which takes place from March 20th to 26th at the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills. Curated to honor the hard work of talented actors from around the globe, the Method Fest screens world premieres as well as top festival films.

CineFashion Film Awards

Fashion lovers, take note: this one’s for you. Each year, Cinémoi Network hosts a live broadcast of the CineFashion Film Awards, an international event that recognizes fashion in film. Taking place on December 9th at 8 p.m. at Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, the film festival will highlight fashion-focused films from forward-thinking filmmakers, designers, and musicians.
